Romance is serious business, right? Or is it? If you're taking your romance too seriously, and it's not working, try a little humor.

Which do you think your husband would choose if put to the test: a) Watch the beautifully romantic tear-jerker movie, The Notebook or b) do anything that doesn't involve watching The Notebook.

My answer is easy. My husband would opt for a root canal rather than sitting through a movie like The Notebook or Terms of Endearment. Now don't get me wrong. That doesn't mean he isn't romantic. He loves me and our family very deeply. He's simply not a fan of traditional, serious romance movies.

There are some very important men in my life besides my husband. They have made movie night with my husband a wonderful part of our romance. So, a big Thank You goes out to Jim Carrey, Ben Stiller, Matt Dillon, Adam Sandler, Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson. A funny movie, with a nice love story weaving through it, is the perfect ticket in my house for a relaxing evening and a happy man. Romance is a funny thing.

The Princess Bride (1987): Many men may feel the same as the little boy in the beginning of the movie; being read a book by Grandpa that starts out with the kissing part. Yuk! Well, the boy finds out very quickly, and so will your husband, that this love story is a rough and tumble story of a Pirate, evil Prince, and the Princess who is betrothed to the Prince but loves the Pirate. There's a lot of swashbuckling and ridiculously funny slapstick and innuendo. I dare you to watch this movie and NOT fall in love with it!

Groundhog Day (1993): After reluctantly going to cover Punksatawney Phil for Groundhog Day, a cynical weatherman gets stuck living the same day over repeatedly, until he gets it right. This is a Bill Murray classic. The love story is woven throughout the repeated day as he tries to figure out how to win the woman's heart, and learns about living life in the process. You'll want to watch this movie again and again to pick up on subtle things that you'll miss the first time. Great fun!

Wedding Crashers (2005): Two divorce mediators have the whole "guaranteed date" thing figured out. They crash weddings to meet women. They don't just hide out at these weddings, they jump right in, joining the family in pictures, dancing, and making up stories right along to get them in with the "chicks". Of course, there's love in the air so the story has a few twists and the guys have to learn a few lessons about love and life. Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn are hilariously loveable goofs.

The Wedding Singer (1998): This is a great romp through the 80's. The settings, the songs, the clothes, and the bad wedding music, are all very nostalgic and fun. Robbie, the wedding singer, goes through some rough spots when his fiance drops him. Julia, the waitress, is going to marry a man who doesn't deserve her. Robbie and Julia team up as good friends and, well, the right thing happens for everyone. You'll enjoy Adam Sandler's depiction of Robbie; right down to the hair style! And, ladies, you'll get a tear or two when Robbie sings 'Grow Old With You'. Relax, laugh, and cuddle. This is a winner.

Fun With Dick and Jane (2005): Dick and Jane's 'good life' comes to an abrupt halt when their plans for a comfortable future crumble with the collapse of the company stock, pension fund, and Dick's job. Dick, as a middle manager, gets hung out to dry and blamed for the stock collapse. Humiliated, Dick and Jane snap and start doing whatever they can to hang on, which includes going on a wildly funny blue-collar crime spree. But, things change and they end up getting retribution for their co-workers and revenge on the person who really caused the collapse. Jim Carrey is hilariously funny, but with a very gentle heart. You'll be cheering the victors at the end.

Love Actually (2003): This is really eight movies in one. Short stories that tell about love, romantic love, family love between a father and son, siblings, and friends. This is a truly touching movie, but has enough laughs and light moments to keep your husband awake and interested... and laughing. Good laughs and many gentle moments to remember. Cuddle up, grab the tissues, and be ready to learn a thing or two about the meaning of love.

It's hard to always take romance seriously. And if your husband is like mine, romance needs to be fun! Pop in a romantic, funny movie, cuddle up, and get ready to relax and enjoy each other... and the movie!

For this reason, anger management in children with difficulties controlling their temper is extremely important. Finding ways to teach anger management for kids might present challenges.

20 Years Is A Long Time Ever For A Biker

Many of you out there probably do not know that I L.J. James am the Son of Pappy (Freelance writer on the Biker Lifestyle) ! Hell I didn't know till 1986,Well I knew I just didn't know him! Pappy an my Mother got separated when I was young and I didn't see Pappy from around 76 till 86. When I met him he wasn't even known as Pappy yet! That came later.

I had lived with my Mother an step-Father on Long Island in NY till the Summer of 86. I had always been into Bikes and the life style. Many times after getting into some kind of trouble I would hear the saying "He is just like his Father". Little did I know at the time just how true it really was! After getting into some more teenage trouble (you know the deal Drinking,Staying out late, getting brought home by the cops 2 or 3 times). My Mother figured it was time for me to meet my Father. So in the Summer of 86 at the age of 15, I found myself flying up to Rochester NY to meet my Father!

When I first met Pappy He owned a large House and He rented out rooms in the house to College kids and other Bikers. Almost as soon as I got there Pappy started teaching me to Ride a Motorcycle and probably just as important if not more, what the words Respect, Honesty , Loyalty and Brotherhood mean in the Biker World. I still remember clearly one time at a John Fogarty Concert. Me, Pappy and a few other Bikers where in the parking lot looking at Motorcycles. I saw this really cool bike with this paint job that was just unbelievable, I went to touch it and Pappy grabbed my hand looked at me in the eyes and told me "Never touch another mans Bike without his permission" and till this day I never have.

The House Pappy owend was well known by many of the Bikers in the area and was the place many large party's where held, It was not uncommon to find a bunch of Bikers sleeping in the living room any given morning. These Bikers where family to me and when they said "He is just like his Father" it gave me a feeling of over whelming pride! I have always loved hearing the stories these true Brothers of the biker world would tell me. I feel the old Biker stories need to be saved and told over and over again.

New Motorcycle Riders are learning about Biker history from old 1960's Biker Gang movies that have no historic truth to them. Just like with any culture if you lose your true history you lose what you really are! I feel the only way to return the Biker world to its true origin is to keep the old stories alive ! Too many "Bikers" complain that the younger Motorcycle Riders of today have no idea what it means to be a Biker! Well I think maybe the problem is that some of the older Bikers never really knew what it meant to be a Biker, Because if they did they would know its their job to teach the next generation! A new Motorcycle Rider must know what the Spirit of Biker Brotherhood is before he can truly feel it and become a part of it. (Maybe that's part of why I became a writer?)

I said at the Beginning of this story Pappy was not yet known as Pappy and I would tell you how that came to be. Well if you remember the Summer of 86 you will remember the Karate Kid Movie was a Big Hit and was on HBO like 10 times a day,Well as far as I could remember I had never called anyone Dad or Father or anything like that. In the Karate Kid they called each other miyagi san and Daniel san! Well thinking I was clever I started calling my Father "Pappy san", He in turn started calling me Son of Pappy and soon after everyone started calling Him Pappy!

Now many of You maybe wondering why the Hell am I telling you all this. Well like I have said there are many Motorcycle riders these days that have no clue what Biker Brotherhood really is. I think it is important that they know this is not something you buy into, But something you grow into. Too many buy a Motorcycle and then do nothing but talk, They are only there for you if you have something to offer them. There are very few true Bikers left, Bikers are being replaced by Motorcycle enthusiasts and part of it is our own fault! I write this story in hopes it will help spread the word that only the true old School bikers can teach the younger generation the true meaning of Biker Brotherhood.

On the other hand, people who make their point quickly and effectively are easy to listen to. They use fewer words and have more power. By holding your attention and getting to the point, they're more effective communicators.

People listen much faster than you speak. Unless you're really holding someone's attention, the tendency is for their thoughts to wander to other things. Here's three things to keep in mind to help you become more succinct:

1. The Bottom Line These days, we expect information to be delivered quickly. Younger people, especially, have short attention spans. We may not like this, but that's the way it is.

It's up to us to deliver our messages in a succinct, interesting and compelling fashion. We have to GET attention, HOLD attention and make our request or our point QUICKLY. We have to get to the bottom line.

2. Stop the Pre-Ramble The U.S. Constitution begins with the Preamble. It's a one-sentence, masterfully written, powerful introduction to one of the world's most important documents.

But far too many people practice what I call "pre-ramble". They provide too much detail. And they take way too long introducing what they want to say. In the process, they lose the listener-or don't even grab them in the first place.

Better to just say what you have to say than spend too long setting up what you have to say. Be brief. Instead of saying, "I'd like to tell you a story," just tell it.

3. Less is More Many people think the more said, the better. Not true. A good writer knows short sentences are more powerful than long ones. Short paragraphs carry more weight. If a word, a sentence or a paragraph doesn't do any work, it shouldn't be there.

What we need to do is edit what we say as well as edit what we write. Aleksandr Solzhenitzyn said, "Everything you add to the truth subtracts from the truth." Let us speak less and SAY more.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not advocating being so curt that we're rude or lose our style. We need sufficient detail to do the job-just not TOO much. Be considerate enough of your audience to convey your message in a way that it can be heard.

Remember, brief is better.

Eventually I decided that even though my home would never have been seen by others as a mess, the toll it was taking on my own metal health and wellness was certainly not congruent with living an outrageously healthy life.

Now given that my life is pretty full and I wanted to sort through my whole house and garage this approach was not working so well for me, let's face it that would take me a substantial block of time. The outcome of this was that I just never got started, the clutter remained and so did the frustration.

I realized I needed to start breaking things down into smaller bite sized pieces, small tasks that I could accomplish in a short period of time and start to feel good about making progress.

The first thing I did was clean out my fridge and pantry - what a relief. I was embarrassed at all the out of date products we found in the pantry, which had to go in the bin, it felt so wasteful. As a result we have decided we will not keep too much in the pantry at all from now on. It is so nice to go to the pantry and be able to see what's in there. The fridge is a weekly task we do just before we go shopping it serves 2 purposes, firstly we get rid of anything that needs to go and secondly we know what we already have and avoid buying more than we need.

The next task was the linen cupboard, I thought it would take me ages however it took very little time and I was able to donate our excess sheets and towels to a local charity for recycling. Each time I do one of these tasks I find myself going to open the cupboard just to look at how nice and neat it is, to be honest I often take other members of the family with me so they can admire my handy work, and get the clue to keep it tidy, I hope!

So how about taking a step by step approach to de-cluttering your life and, in doing so, improve your mental health and wellness. There is even some evidence to suggest that the clutter in our life may also contribute to holding onto clutter on our bodies - excess weight. How much more motivation do you need!

In a recent de-cluttering mood, I decided to clean out my wallet , amazing what you find in amongst all those receipts. I had a ticket I had purchased for a Lotto draw a few weeks ago, I took it to the newsagents and guess what? Yep it was a winner $30.65. So whilst this is not going to see me retiring on a tropical island, I did take it as a sign that I was on the right path.

After the desired amount of muscle mass is achieved, switch to higher repetition (8-12) and do an increased amount of cardiovascular activity to increase muscle tone. The loss of fat is what creates muscle tone, so be sure to lose the extra body fat. Never forget the importance of building a firm nutritional base to facilitate muscle growth.

Accent: Now you need to do 6-8 repetitions in the same muscle group as the last time. The big difference here though is that you won't raise your repetitions. The idea here is to cut back on the repetitions, and in doing so your muscles will become accustomed to fewer and fewer. Soon enough you will be able to cut down on your total repetition and achieve the same effects.

As you go along, increase the number of weights that you use. This will help you to reach that optimum fitness that you want. Your muscles will be shocked, the fibers will tear. Your goal is to increase the size of your muscle, and so long as you follow these directions, you will do just that.

You need to make sure that each and every one of the exercises is performed right. If you do not, then you might not just hurt yourself, you might end up doing absolutely nothing for your body. Make sure you know how to do the exercises. Make sure you do them safely, and overall, make sure you are building the muscle you've always dreamed of.

Okay, I'll admit it. I am one of those people that never remembers a birthday. Friends and family both suffer equally when it comes to my memory. Most of the people I am close with understand this about me and generously forgive this little shortcoming, but others can get a little touchy if they don't even get a little happy birthday card.
